Planning a summer vacation?

While you’re looking forward to the warmer weather, take a few minutes to look ahead toward your retirement future. Are you taking advantage of contributing pre-tax dollars to the 401(k) portion of the IUOE Local 4 Annuity & Savings Plan? As a participant in the Plan, you are eligible to make voluntary contributions from your wages not to exceed $18,000 in 2017. If you are 50 or older this year, you’re allowed an additional $6,000 in catch-up contributions for a total deferral of $24,000. If you’re already enrolled in the 401(k) program, take this time to think about increasing your dollar per hour contribution. Any additional savings, no matter how small, have the potential to make a big impact on your future.

The journey to a healthier you awaits—we’re happy to get you off on the right path!

The Plan has partnered with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) and American Well Telehealth to offer covered members more options to access a board certified doctor when needed. No more missing work for doctor’s appointments, transportation and parking costs, or unnecessary, expensive trips to the emergency room. When our members need on-demand or behavioral health consultations—there’s Telehealth. Telehealth is a video-based platform that connects you to a doctor in minutes. By using the American Well Live Doctor app on a smartphone, tablet, or computer, covered members can access the care they need—when and where they need it.

Visit to learn more or for a link to download the app onto your device. First-time users must enter Service Key: BCBSMA when registering to make sure they receive coverage. The Plan’s co-pay for office and American Well Telehealth visits is $10. Download the app and register today so it will be ready when you need it most.
